About the iBOT® - Mobility System Details & Specifications

Transportation

Independence Technology, L.L.C., a Johnson & Johnson Company
You can also detach the User Control Panel and maneuver the iBOTŪ Mobility System up a ramp and into a vehicle for unoccupied transportation.

  Occupied

The iBOT® Mobility System fits into most wheelchair accessible vans when you are driving in either Standard or 4-Wheel Function. The height of the iBOT® Mobility System is measured from the ground surface to top of assist handle. In Standard Function the height is approximately 49 inches and in 4-Wheel Function it is approximately 51 inches.  Height may vary depending on seat height position and consumer calibration.

Unoccupied

The new fold flat design in Remote Function allows the backrest to fold on top of the seat pan resulting in the overall folded height to be approximately 29 inches*. This allows for access in mini vans and some SUV's and station wagons.  This function is useful when maneuvering the product into a vehicle. An assistant is usually needed to perform Remote Function. The detachable tethered User Control Panel makes it easier to negotiate the product in and out of a vehicle.

*The height is measured from the ground surface to the top of the armrest.

The iBOT® Mobility System has two front and two rear tie-down rings used for tying down the mobility system during transportation.
