I contracted Polio in 1951 and have been experiencing the after effects of the disease ever since. For most of my life I walked with crutches, until recently, when the weakness in my legs and arms has required greater assistance. I knew that I needed to find a device to help me overcome my mobility restrictions, but I never thought I’d find something quite as incredible as the iBOT® Mobility System. The new opportunities it has provided have been amazing.

Last year, I became Executive Director of Tarrant Baptist Association. In this position, I

travel across Texas and other states to help churches raise money, develop their leaders, and fulfill their missions. The iBOT® has certainly made my job a whole lot easier. Recently, I was scheduled to meet with a church group that meets in a second floor room. In the past, I would never have been able to attend this session. But with the Stair Function of the iBOT®, I am able to climb to second floors with ease.
 

In addition, my job requires me to speak to large groups and preach to congregations about stewardship issues. When I’m speaking to these large groups, the device lets me rise up onto two wheels to look out over the audience. Everyone in attendance can now see and hear me better because of the iBOT®.

Many times, churches are exempt from specific handicapped accessible building codes. But with the iBOT®, I don’t have to worry about getting in or out of any church. Whether it’s climbing stairs or speaking to capacity crowds, this device has definitely been a blessing to me.
