I used to do everything. I was the quintessential “Tool Time Girl”. Most people hate cleaning up around the house or doing outdoor chores and home projects, but I’ve always loved it. On October 8, 2006, my life drastically changed. While installing fixtures in my daughter’s closet, I suffered a T4 Spinal Stroke and haven’t walked since. At first, I thought my life was over. Now though, I’m living my life to the fullest again because of my iBOT® Mobility System.
 

Soon after my injury, my husband’s business partner and best friend Tom told me about a

technologically advanced wheelchair he had seen. He said, “Barbara, it will give you your life back, and I’m getting one for you!”
 

Since obtaining the iBOT® Mobility System, I’m certainly getting back to my old ways. Don’t get me wrong – I’m not up on the roof putting up new shingles like before, but I am able to travel around the neighborhood, ride through my yard with ease, board our boat, climb steps and scale curbs, and make my way to the neighborhood grocery store. I’m mobile again because of the iBOT® Mobility System.

 

When I first suffered this injury and lost my ability to walk, I had a hard time coping with my new mobility restriction. But now the iBOTŪ Mobility System gives me so much freedom . and my life back. I'm the old Barbara . redefined.
 

My wish would be that for anyone needing such an extraordinary chair to have the help of family, friends and extended circles of friends to make this a reality for them! I am fortunate and grateful to those around me and to the iBOTŪ Mobility System!
